The brush, the breath,
the silence between.

Classical Chinese calligraphy by Ning Baocheng (宁保成). Senior Registered Teacher of the Chinese Calligraphers Association, with works in film, public institutions, and private collections.

The Artist

A practice rooted in tradition, refined across three decades.

A Senior Registered Teacher of the Chinese Calligraphers Association, Ning Baocheng studied at the Peking University Chinese Culture Academy and trained under masters Wang Xueling and Cui Shenghui at the Association's Training Center in Beijing.

His calligraphy has graced China's most celebrated cultural stages — inscribing the title for Feng Xiaogang's film Youth (芳华, 2017) and the promotional script for Jackie Chan's Railroad Tigers (铁道飞虎, 2016). Works held in national and provincial collections.
